Day 55

October 15th, 2014

Jesus1“Winning isn’t everything, but the will to win is everything.” ~ Vince Lombardi. I agree with this quote except when talking about the life of a Christian who knows the Lord and has turned his life over to the Lord. As a Christian, we know that in the end, we win. In that instance, winning is everything. We have been promised Eternal Life through Christ Jesus. We go through trials, tribulations, and temptations. We know our steps are ordered by the Lord. We walk the path that He has created and provided for us. We face obstacles. We suffer failures. We stay on the path because we know that a failure is only a true failure when we stop running the race. We become weary and we wonder if we can take the next step. We take a deep breath and we continue the race. Regardless of what our surrounding look like, we know we win. The storms are above. The wilderness is around. We stay fixated on the Prize because in this instance, winning is everything. Interspersed in the midst of these are mini successes to remind us that God is with us every step of the way and that in the end, we win. And therein lies my Joy.
