Day 17

September 19th, 2014

Follow Me“Break out of your comfort zone and do something different for God!” – Bishop David G. Evans. Staying in my comfort zone allowed me to become stagnant. It allowed me to accept and be comfortable with less than my best. When in my comfort zone, I’m not moving forward. I’m not making progress. I’m satisfied with less than… Pushing beyond my comfort zone allows me to challenge myself to do better. I don’t want to relax. I want to press forward so that I can be everything that God would have me to be. Anything less is less than where God would have me to be. I’ll never know how far I can go – how much I can achieve – unless I press beyond my comfort zone. I thank Bishop for that valuable revelation and I thank God for not giving up on me as I work my way out of this comfort zone. I wrote a poem about 10 years ago about I.C.Z. (Insulated Comfort Zone) – a part of which goes like this…

“He’ll cleanse you from within

And free you from your sin.

He wants you to come home.

Get out your comfort zone!

‘Cause once you let God in,

Eternal Life you’ll win.

Just lose your I.C.Z.

And get with G.O.D.!”
